Skin lightening, spot treatment: we combine salon and home treatment

Uneven skin tone and pigment spots are a concern for many people. The good news is that there is a solution to treating pigment spots without drastic peeling or surgery. Skin lightening and spot treatment cosmetic treatments gradually fade unwanted spots without thinning the top layer of the skin.

The color of our skin is influenced by many factors: including the amount of hemoglobin in red blood cells, melanin in epithelial cells, or the amount of carotenes dissolved in the stratum corneum.

Melanin is a protective pigment in the skin that partly blocks UV rays and partly protects the DNA of cells from harmful UV rays. In addition to its many beneficial properties, melanin also plays a role in abnormal pigmentation and the development of melanoma.

Hyperpigmentation occurs when too much pigment is produced in the skin. It can be caused by a number of things: pigmentation can develop after inflammation, pregnancy, medications, certain fragrances, diseases, increased UV radiation, or deeper physical damage to the skin.

Due to the overproduction of melanin, spots of different locations, sizes, and darker or lighter colors can appear on the skin. This change can be disturbing for those affected, so it is worth paying more attention to them with the arrival of autumn. According to an American study, 21.81% of those affected by hyperpigmentation felt that others focused on their skin problem rather than their personality, 32.71% of them did not feel attractive because of their skin, while 23.61% of them felt that their skin problem negatively affected their everyday life.

AW Cosmetics' pigment spot treatment visibly lightens pigment spots thanks to the Janssen Cosmetics product line. The skin-lightening, spot-treating cosmetic treatment reduces the size of spots and prevents their further formation, creating a uniform skin tone.

We supplement our weekly salon treatments with a home care product: our two-phase home Melafadin concentrate is a highly active, intensive skin lightening concentrate that inhibits melanin synthesis, protects against oxidative stress, supports the skin's natural defenses and activates collagen synthesis. In order to achieve effective results, it is worth combining salon and home treatments and paying attention to continuous sun protection.
